Milo Series on PBS KIDS Digital Explores Jobs
MILO is a series co-produced by Fourth Wall and DeAPlaneta Entertainment that follows an adventurous cat who loves to use role-play to explore the amazing world of jobs and vocations with his best friends, Lofty and Lark. Milo loves meeting all of the different people who come into his parents’ dry-cleaning shop to get their outfits cleaned. Milo is curious about what it would be like to be a fireman, or a detective, or an astronaut, and many other kinds of jobs when he grows up. So, off he goes with his friends on an exciting role-play adventure. Milo’s energy, sense of wonder and desire to explore a variety of jobs opens up a world of possibilities for kids across the country, helping them discover new interests and passions along the way. AANHPI Heritage Month: Stories Spanning the Diaspora: WXXI-WORLD
Every May, Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is a time to elevate voices of the diaspora, encouraging the growth of AANHPI representation in the media and everyday life.
This month, films premiering on WORLD explore the Asian American experience in two New York City boroughs: On May 9, Alaudin Ullah brings viewers with him on a journey from his home in Harlem to his parents’ Bangladeshi roots in In Search of Bengali Harlem, and Chinatown Auxiliary follows Chinese residents who volunteer as NYPD officers to protect Manhattan’s Chinatown on May 13.
Plus, watch Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander stories on Pacific Heartbeat, celebrating surf, sport and fashion through the eyes of young Hawaiian and Tahitian women breaking boundaries and striving for greatness.

Corky Lee’s 100,000 photos chronicle Asian American life. In American Masters Dear Corky, New Yorker Corky Lee photographed his hometown’s Chinatown and Asian American communities around the country for over 50 years, documenting activists, celebrities and everyday heroes he encountered in over 100,000 photos. While documenting the latest rise of anti-Asian hate crimes, Lee passed away from COVID-19. In his own words and photos, this short documentary reveals the man behind the camera.
