WXXI has programmed a special week of programming that we are calling HBCU Week to help celebrate the group of academic institutions that are classified by the U.S. Government as Historically Black Colleges and Universities and pay tribute to their legacy of promoting equal opportunities for high-quality education. HBCU Week programming features the under-told stories of sacrifice, courage, innovation, and hope found in the archives of these HBCUs.
