Do you have a favorite family recipe? Does it make you “feel like home” when you think of this food? Maybe when you go to shop for the ingredients or make the dish for a shared meal it brings up happy memories? Who taught you how to make this dish? Do you remember making it with your grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents, siblings, friends or community? Can you remember the smell, texture and taste? Is it part if a day-to-day tradition or for a special occasion? Perhaps your favorite family recipe comes from another cultural tradition than your own? Maybe you invented this version of the recipe that no one else makes your way.
Whatever the story is, we would love to hear about it! Share the recipe and even a photo of the dish, the occasion or something that connects you with the recipe. Our plan is to collect enough recipes to share online with our community.
