Rohrbach Brewing Company

Rohrbach Brewing Company - Rochester, NY

For more than 20 years The Rohrbach Brewing Company has been serving the Rochester community. Rohrbach’s Brewpub on Buffalo Road is just nine miles west of downtown Rochester, and its newest facility, Rohrbach’s Railroad Street Brewery, is located in Rochester’s historic public market district.

Owner John Urlaub offered this description of Rohrbach’s: “We are a small locally owned and operated company that is passionate about the community we live and work in, the products we handcraft, and customer service. We have loved creating, consuming, educating, and celebrating craft beer in Rochester since 1992 – way before craft beer was cool. As part of this effort Rohrbach’s hosted the first brewers’ fest in the area more than 18 years ago. We still host the premier summer celebration of American craft beer – the Flour City Brewers’ Fest. By partnering with other great local companies, the event provides an opportunity to bring great craft beer to the local community.”

When asked about Rohrbach’s business partnership with WXXI, Urlaub explained, “I personally love the service that WXXI provides to the community and the commitment to the Rochester area. I wanted to support WXXI programming while also reaching out to like-minded people who appreciate high-quality, locally-crafted products.”

Urlaub is most proud of providing support for WXXI’s music programming, specifically the local and syndicated music shows on WRUR-FM 88.5. “They are incredible and very unique in our area. Open Tunings, hosted by Scott Regan, is the best!”

Through monthly dinner and beer pairing and brewtopia events, Rohrbach Brewpub is passionate about educating and celebrating craft beer and food. The new Railroad Street Brewery location offers a tasting room for sampling.
