We invite you to join us for a conversation with David M. Shapard, the author of new annotated editions of Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, and Sense and Sensibility. Tickets are just $25 and proceeds will benefit the great programs on WXXI, including Masterpiece!

David graduated with a Ph.D. in European History from the University of California at Berkeley; his specialty was the eighteenth century. He'll share insight into the historical context of her novels including rules of etiquette, legal and economic realities, parallels to Austen's personal life, clarifications of archaic words and much more.
