Ronnie Kroell, Bravo's "Make Me a Super Model," is Out & Open Act Two

In recognition LGBT Pride Month, join host Robert Hammond and his guest Ronnie Kroell for act two of Out and Open. 

Global audiences first met Kroell on season one of Bravo’s Make Me a Super Model. He walked away as runner-up, but won the “fan favorite” vote. He’ll talk about his human rights work; his theatre, movie, and modeling career; his involvement in the It Gets Better Project; and his life as a gay man in an extremely competitive industry. Many of his favorite Broadway songs will be played.

A recap of the Tony Awards, including a song or two from the best musical and best revival of a musical, will be featured.

Ronnie Kroell became an instant international celebrity by competing in Bravo’s Make Me a Super Model where he walked away the runner-up, but won the larger prize the “fan favorite” award. Ronnie is beloved by all ages, genders, sexualities, races, and ethnicities for his gracious goodness and deep vulnerability. Well before the world knew of his sweet soulfulness via Make Me a Super Model, he was working for Human Rights in his hometown of Chicago, educating through the arts on matters of diversity and multiculturalism.

Since Make Me a Super Model, Ronnie has balanced a successful modeling career in New York City doing runway work for Philip Sparks, Loris Diran, Malan Breton, and Richie Rich; he’s been the featured cover model for several magazines, including Instinct, Next, and Playgirl; continued work as a human rights activist; and is the founder of Pulse Network and Pulse Blog. Ronnie has transitioned from modeling to acting, starring in several movies in 2011, including Eating Out – Drama Camp and Into the Lion’s Den. 

Look for Ronnie this holiday season as the Ghost of Christmas Past in the movie Scrooge & Marley, a modern-day variation on Charles Dickens’ classic story of the holidays, A Christmas Carol. Recounted from a gay sensibility, with heart, comedy and music, the magic of Dickens’ timeless tale of a man’s redemption at the holidays—thanks to the help of three ghostly spirits— comes alive from a fresh perspective that will appeal to audiences of every persuasion.

Ronnie believes that anything is possible and challenges all those he interacts with to never give up on their dreams and to simply be themselves. Without the support of his loving family and friends, his mentors, and his incredible fans, he would not be where he is today, and   he is so thankful as he looks forward to the adventures ahead. One thing is for sure, wherever Ronnie goes – he goes with his whole heart.
