During this poignant edition of Stage Notes, host Robert Hammond and his guest Cullen R. Titmas (Tony in the Broadway tour of Billy Elliot the Musical) will explore many of the important  themes  Billy Elliot the Musical brings to life, including being who you are, expressing yourself, the importance of family and community, overcoming obstacles, bullying, and following dreams.

Time called Billy Elliot the Musical a "triumph"; critic Liz Smith termed it "breathtakingly brilliant" and "absolutely, unequivocally awesome"; The Daily News said it was "so exhilarating that at times you feel like leaping";The New York Post said it was "almost like being in love" and called  it "amusing, perfect and passionate" and "the best show you will ever see"; and The Los Angeles Times called it a "global theatrical phenomenon." Winner of 10 Tony Awards in 2008, Billy Elliot the Musical is coming to Rochester  November 29th to December 11th.

Billy Elliot the Musical is the joyous celebration of one boy's journey to make his dreams come true. Set in a small town, the story follows Billy as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, discovering a surprising passion that inspires his family and his whole community. A big musical with an even bigger heart, Billy Elliot will enchant the dreamer in all of us. Based on the international smash-hit film, Billy Elliot is brought to life by a phenomenal cast of 45 and the Tony® Award-winning creative team --director Stephen Daldry, choreographer Peter Darling and writer Lee Hall --along with music legend Elton John.

CULLEN R. TITMAS is continuing his journey as Tony with Billy Elliot the Musical after understudying the role and performing in the ensemble of the previous tour.
