Live from Hochstein
(Rochester, NY) – Live from Hochstein, airing exclusively on WXXI Classical 91.5/90.3 FM and streaming at wxxiclassical.org, kicks off a whole new season Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 12:10–12:50 p.m. with a concert featuring cellist and Hochstein instructor Natalie Spehar performing music by Bach and William Grant Still. Due to the pandemic there will not be a live audience in the house, but socially-distanced performances will return throughout November 2020.
Also this month – a string quartet of RPO musicians perform works by American composers, in honor of Veterans Day on November 11th; Yi-Wen Chang, piano on November 18; and David Hochstein Recital Competition winners (Amy Feng, piano; Noah Lee, violin; Maxwell Sun, marimba) on November 25th.
Hosted by WXXI Classical's Mona Seghatoleslami, Live from Hochstein is the longest running live broadcast concert series in Western New York. Broadcast live from the Hochstein Performance Hall (50 North Plymouth Ave. in Rochester), the series presents performances by some of the finest artists from the Rochester area’s musical community.
