Backstage Pass with Cordancia Chamber Orchestra

(Rochester, NY) – Members of the Cordancia Chamber Orchestra join host Julia Figueras for the next Backstage Pass, airing Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5. Formed in 2009 by violinist Pia Liptak and oboist Kathleen Suher, the orchestra is a versatile ensemble made up of professional performers, music teachers, college students and musicians from the community. They will preview their upcoming concert “Something New”, which features music by living composers.

Backstage Pass is a monthly live performance program which highlights performances by local and visiting musicians, giving Classical 91.5/90.3 listeners the backstage experience of meeting the artists “up close and personal.”  Several times each year, Backstage Pass is performed before a live audience of sustaining members. Backstage Pass is made possible in part by a gift from Drs. Dawn and Jacques Lipson to support performance, innovation and accessibility of the arts in the Rochester community. This episode repeats Sunday, March 1 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5.
