Downton Abbey Live
(Rochester, NY) – In anticipation of the Downton Abbey movie, in theaters this September (including The Little Theatre), WXXI presents Downton Abbey Live, an hour-long special, broadcast live before a studio audience from New York City on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 9 p.m. on WXXI-TV. Allen Leech (Tom Branson), Julian Fellowes (Creator & Writer), Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith), Jim Carter (Mr. Carson), Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore), Liz Trubridge and Gareth Neame (Executive Producers) and surprise guests will reveal never-before-heard stories from the PBS series. Plus viewers will see exclusive clips of the upcoming movie and a look back at the most successful period drama in history. They will be taking questions from the audience and viewers at home, as well.
Downton Abbey has been one of the most honored series on television, with 12 Emmy® wins, three Golden Globes®, four Screen Actors Guild Awards®, two Producers Guild Awards® and four BAFTAs®. It’s the top PBS drama of all time and the most popular series in MASTERPIECE history.
