Love, Iberian Style: A Valentine's Day Special

(Rochester, NY) – Love is in the air for El Día de los Enamorados, otherwise known as Valentine's Day. Love, Iberian Style: A Valentine's Day Special, airing Friday, February 13, 2015 at 12 p.m. on Classical 91.5, presents an hour of love songs from the middle ages through the early 20th century, including Sephardic romances of the Jews of medieval Spain, Spanish love songs by Catalan Enrique Granados, and a gypsy ballet of ghostly love by Manuel de Falla. 

There's no better way to know a country or a people than through its music. Listeners with an interest in, a fascination of, and a love for the cultural life of Spain and the Spanish-speaking world are sure to  in to this unique classical music program. Artists and luminaries from the Spanish-speaking world, as well as specialists in the Spanish repertory are invited to share their knowledge, passion, and art through interviews and exclusive in-studio live performances.
