In this program host Kara Miller speaks with author and analyst Joel Kurtzman about why the coming century could be the true "American century." Then Miller takes a look at the rise and fall of the American suburbs and the forces that shaped it. You'll hear the story of a Cold War development that changed American childhood forever and how Julia Child upended American cooking and American living rooms. Plus, why the big budget American summer blockbuster is here to stay.
