Downton Abbey, Season 4

(Rochester, NY) – The most-watched drama in PBS history enters its fourth gripping season with the whole world waiting to learn how the beloved characters deal with a shocking tragedy. Change is in the air as three generations of the Crawley family have conflicting interests in the estate. The acclaimed ensemble is back, together with returning guest star Academy Award®-winner Shirley MacLaine and new guest star Paul Giamatti. Also joining the cast are Harriet Walter, Gary Carr, Joanna David, and Tom Cullen, as the legend continues on Downton Abbey, Season 4, airing over eight Sundays beginning with a two-hour premiere on January 5, 2014 at 9 p.m. on WXXI-TV.

Viewers are encouraged to stay tuned after Downton Abbey for WXXI's wrap-up show, Talking Abbey LIVE at 11 p.m. The half-hour show, hosted by Danielle Abramson, features special guests who will dissect the episode, share their thoughts, and invite viewers to join in the conversation by calling (866) 264-5904 or Tweeting using hashtag: #TALWXXI. Due to the three-part Sherlock Holmes, Series 3 airing January 19-February 2, Talking Abbey will air Sundays, January 5, 12, February 9, 16, 23.
