This co-production with the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance celebrates a region deeply rooted in history, agriculture, social change, and sustainability.

(Rochester, NY) – Beyond the Canvas, the four-part modern arts and culture series that highlights the best arts reporting from PBS NewsHour’s cross-platform arts initiative, premieres Friday, August 7, 2020 at 8:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV. It airs every Friday through August 28.

Wednesday, August 26, 2020 - 2:00pm

(Rochester, NY) –  August 26th marks 100 years since women in America won the right to vote. This important milestone is the starting point for this special broadcast which looks at the achievements of women in music, set against historic, social, and political obstacles which have worked against female composers, conductors, and performers.

Sunday, August 30, 2020 - 9:00pm

(Rochester, NY) – Everyone agrees that the goal of reading instruction is for children to understand what they read. The question is: how does a little kid get there? APM Reports continues its series of groundbreaking, award-winning documentaries about reading with a new program about comprehension.
