Back in town to guest conductor your RPO, Andreas Delfs also returned to our studios to chat with Julia Figueras. Joining him was RPO English Horn and oboist Anna Steltenpohl, who will solo with the orchestra. What ensued was a discussion of why there are so few English Horn concertos, how youth symphonies are important, and techniques to make old favorites sound new.
