Museum of Play Buys Handmade "Monopoly"

The Strong National Museum of Play has bought a one of its kind early version of the game Monopoly for $146,500.

The game is the oldest known version of the game handmade by inventor Charles Darrow.  The photo below was supplied by the museum. It shows the table-sized round playing board created in the 1930's.
