New York's home aide shortage keeps man from living in his own house

Flip Rivera has been fighting through a complicated and arduous process to be able to live independently since 2010. He spent tens of thousands of dollars to have his new house renovated to be more accessible.

However, because of a shortage of home care aides, he is still living as a long-term resident at Monroe Community Hospital.
