Gary Beikirch, local Medal of Honor recipient, has died at 74

A local war hero has died. Gary Beikirch, a Medal of Honor recipient for his actions in the Vietnam War, had been suffering from cancer, and his daughter, Stephanie Lynn Zimmerli, said on Facebook that he died Sunday afternoon.
