Teaching with Un(re)solved from FRONTLINE Webinar

Tue, 10/19/2021 - 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Teaching with Un(re)solved from FRONTLINE on October 19, 2021 7PM EST VIA ZOOM from GBH Education, PBS LearningMedia, FRONTLINE and the National Council for the Social Studies

Say their names.  Know their stories.

Frontline’s Un(re)solved project examines the stories of lives cut short and the federal effort to investigate more than 150 cold cases that date back to the civil rights era under the Emmett Till Unsolved Civil Rights Crime Act. Join us for a FREE webinar for grades 9-12 educators on Un(re)solved and how the often little-known stories it tells can enrich and expand our knowledge of the civil rights era.

GBH Education and FRONTLINE have created very robust Un(re)solved classroom-ready resources that encourage students to confront America’s legacy and understand the reasons justice has proved elusive for decades. The resources, for grades 9-12, include a web interactive, a student activator activity, background reading, a graphic organizer and a timeline activity. Whether you have two hours or two weeks to teach this topic, you will leave this webinar with ideas and resources to engage your students.  All resources will soon be available free on PBS LearningMedia.

There will be ample time for collaboration and Q&A. The webinar will be recorded.
