Sesame Street "Julia's Haircut"

Tue, 10/06/2020 - 1:00pm - 1:30pm

Elmo, Abby and Alan play hair salon and pretend to be hair stylists to help Julia feel less scared about getting a haircut.

Elmo, Abby Cadabby, and Alan help Julia, Sesame Street’s first muppet on the autism spectrum, feel less scared about getting a haircut by playing ‘hair salon’ and pretending to be hair stylists. The segment was created in response to a need families have expressed for materials tackling common experiences like haircuts that can pose challenges for children with autism. Sesame Street Julia's Haircut airs Tuesday, October 6 at 1 p.m. WXXI-TV.
