ERIN MCCORMACK JOINS WXXI AS EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

(Rochester, NY) – WXXI Public Broadcasting has hired Erin McCormack as Executive Producer, where she will be responsible for the creative production and distribution of WXXI television and digital-first programs across all platforms including on-air and online. She will oversee the producers, writers, and editors and manage all aspects of the creative process, production and evaluation. She will also be the project leader on WXXI’s national Move to Include initiative, a multimedia project, developed in conjunction with the Golisano Foundation that combines content production, curation, and engagement to encourage dialogue about disability issues. 

Prior to joining WXXI, McCormack was Executive Producer at PBS Affiliate WCNY in Syracuse, NY where she was responsible for the creative development, production and delivery of original series, specials and granted projects.  She most recently worked with CNY Arts as the Line Producer for their Innovation Group Short Film Competition on a grant through NYS.  In Los Angeles, McCormack worked for HBO Films, Warner Bros Entertainment, and Authentic Entertainment, where she won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work as a producer on the Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Made.”
