Reflections on The Vietnam War focuses on Ken Burns and Lynn Novick’s latest collaboration -- the epic story of the Vietnam War as it has never before been told on film.

THE VIETNAM WAR, a ten-part, 18-hour documentary film series, features testimony from nearly 100 witnesses, including many Americans who fought in the war and others who opposed it, as well as Vietnamese combatants and civilians from both the winning and losing sides.

This program, airing Friday, December 8, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV, will tell the overall story of their groundbreaking film by featuring key, emotionally powerful and historic moments carefully woven together from the epic 18-hour film to convey the essence of this landmark production PLUS stories generated by PBS stations across America on the impact the War had on their lives. Featuring interviews with Ken, Lynn, and their team, it conveys the historical drama that unfolds within the documentary series, while crafting a sensitive snapshot of this monumental achievement.
