Discussing Wellness: A Generation Listen Event with MHA Rochester

Thu, 05/11/2017 - 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Join WXXI and the Mental Health Association of Rochester/Monroe County for a NPR Generation Listen Listening Event.

Participate in this valuable opportunity for a important discussion on Wellness and Mental Health on Thursday, May 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at MHA. What does Wellness look like for different people? What does it mean? And how can Wellness be achieved?

Facilitated by MHA's own Director of Community Engagement, Melanie Funchess, the event will give attendees a chance to collectively listen to select excerpts from Public Radio podcasts exploring Mental Health and Wellness, and talk as a group afterwards about reactions to the listening pieces. The goal of the listening event is to expand our definition of Wellness, and better understand our collective role in fostering wellness in our communitities.

The event will be held at MHA's Life Skills building, in Village Gate, 344 N. Goodman St. Rochester, NY 14607 (the newly constructed portion). It is free to attend, but RSVPs via Facebook are requested.

For more questions contact MHA's Dir. of Community Relations at 585.325.3145, ext. 115.
