SIX VETERANS DAY PROGRAMS ON WXXI-TV AND RADIO NOT TO BE MISSED
(Rochester, NY) October 30, 2015 – In honor of Veterans Day WXXI’s Veterans Connections initiative presents several TV and radio specials in November. These programs share the stories and heroism of the men and women who have served our country, and those currently serving. Veterans Connections is designed to link veterans in our region with needed community support and services. Through special TV, radio and online programming, documentary films, group discussions, news features, and a comprehensive web site (WXXI.org/veterans), the initiative works to create a community platform to raise awareness and connect veterans with valuable resources.
