The RPO, the Rochester Oratorio Society, and a quartet of acclaimed soloists present the splendid sounds of an iconic masterpiece, Handel’s Messiah.

From the 2010 season of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra comes a special holiday treat, Handel's Messiah, airing Monday, December 14 at 8 p.m. on Classical 91.5. Handel's magnificent choral work tells the greatest story ever told. The "Hallelujah Chorus" so moved King George II that he sprang to his feet on hearing it, and audiences have continued to do so ever since.

Conducted by James Feddeck and directed by ROS's Eric Townell, the concert features soprano Ilana Davidson, mezzo-soprano Kirsten Sollek, tenor Lawrence Wiliford, and baritone Zachary Coates.
