Conductor Gustavo Dudamel leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic in Performance of Mahler Symphony no. 9 this month on APM SymphonyCast. (2/27 broadcast)


February broadcasts on APM SymphonyCast feature cello concertos of Haydn, Schumann, and Shostakovich, played by some of the worlds finest cellists. The month ends with the Los Angeles Philharmonic's performance of Mahler's ninth symphony under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel. 

2/6        The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Jeffrey Kahne, presents a concert of Britten: Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge, Haydn: Cello Concerto No. 1 with Guihen Queyras, cello soloist, and Mozart: Serenata Notturna 

2/13      Hear music from the Houston Symphony under the baton of their recently appointed music director,  Andres Orozco Estrada, as they perform Beethoven: Symphony No. 1, Schumann: Cello Concerto (played by Brinton Averil Smith, HSO principal cello), and Beethoven: Symphony No. 4. 

2/20      Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads the Philadelphia Orchestra in concert, playing R. Strauss: Metamorphosen, Shostakovich: Cello Concerto No. 1 with Johannes Moser on cello, and Beethoven: Symphony No. 3, Eroica. 

2/27      The Los Angeles Philharmonic performs Mahler: Symphony No. 9 under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel.
