Greentopia brings nature-based percussion work to Rochester
If you come to the High Falls district this Sunday at 3pm, you’ll experience music and nature in a new way, in John Luther Adams’s Inuksuit.
Listen here for a sample of the music and comments from Eastman School of Music percussion professor Michael Burritt, and Megan Arns, a graduate student at the Eastman School of Music, has performed Inuksuit in different places around the country. They’re two of the 60 percussionists playing everything from Glockenspiels to Conch shells, for this performance Sunday at 3pm as part of the Greentopia Festival in Rochester.
