MVP Health Care Little Buddies Film Series Presents "Oliver!"

A musical about an orphan who runs away from an orphanage and hooks up with a group of boys trained to be pickpockets by an elderly mentor.

The MVP Little Buddies film kicks off WXXI and the Little Theatre's Hep Kids: The Family Spot at the Jazz Fest Day. Join us for a free screening of the film, Oliver!, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 30 at the Little Theatre 5 (240 East Avenue). After the film, stay for a fun-filled afternoon which includes music, crafts, a boune house, face painting, a visit from the Zoo Mobile and much more. All activities after the film are free. More details to come.

Oliver! is a 1968 British musical film directed by Carol Reed. The film is based on the stage musical Oliver!, with book, music and lyrics written by Lionel Bart. The screenplay was written by Vernon Harris. Both the film and play are based on Charles Dickens' novel Oliver Twist. The musical includes several musical standards, including "Food, Glorious Food", "Consider Yourself", "As Long as He Needs Me", "You've Got to Pick a Pocket or Two" and "Where Is Love?". 

The MVP Health Care Little Buddies Series is a family-friendly film series at The Little Theatre. On the last Saturday of every month we will show a G or PG rated film and have a featured activity as well. The program starts at 10:00am.
