Greater Rochester Women's Philharmonic 20th Anniversary - Nancy Strelau interview
The Greater Rochester Women's Philharmonic brings together women musicians from throughout the community to play music and network.
The orchestra is celebrating its 20th year with a concert Sunday, April 29th at 4:00 pm in the Hochstein Performance Hall in Rochester. The program includes Joan Tower's first Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman, Richard Strauss's Rosenkavalier Suite, and Arturo Marquez’ Danzon No. 2. There's also a suprise* encore hinted at in the program.
The concert is free, a free-will collection will be taken for donations for local battered women’s shelter, ‘Alternatives for Battered Women (ABW)’.
Conductor Nancy Strelau spoke with WXXI's Mona Seghatoleslami. Listen here online to the interview.
