Focus on Autism on WXXI-TV

PBS NewsHour presents a special series of reports, both on-air and online, about the puzzling disorder that touches many lives across the U.S. WXXI reports on a local Autism Center now open in Canandaigua.

"Autism Now" takes a unique, and uniquely personal, look at how the condition impacts families, schools and communities. Founding co-anchor Robert MacNeil returned to PBS to lead the special series of reports on PBS NewsHour.

On WXXI's Need to Know Rochester, we look at Ontario ARC's new Autism Center in Canandaigua and talk with Noreen Quinn and Mike Kephart about the decision behind opening the new facility. There is more information and a list of resources at the Autism Speaks website.
