Buffalo Council Vote Bans Fracking

In a unanimous vote, the Buffalo Common Council banned hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, within the city’s borders.

Fracking is the controversial practice of injecting chemical-laced water into underground shale formations to extract pockets of natural gas.
