The Dismantling of NYS Early Intervention

Children are our most precious human resource and both families and providers of service of UNYEIP recognize this.

Since 4/15/10 we have been advocating to ensure that our children with disabilities ages 0-3 receive the services that they need now during the critical biological period of neural plasticity. At present, services have diminished throughout the state and, as a result, home-based services have as well. Non-compliance with IDEA is suspected.

UNYEIP presently has 1000 members across the state of NY consisting of both parents and providers and we welcome more to register on our homepage.

We also welcome readers to sign our two petitions:

1. To Governor Cuomo
