This week Concierto honors Manuel Ponce, the father of modern Mexican song, when Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Florez sings Ponce’s beloved ballad “Estrellita.”

Concierto, a weekly program of classical music presented in Spanish and English, features classical music by Latin American and Spanish composers and musicians. The series will airs on Classical 91.5 Tuesdays at 10 p.m.
