WXXI is proud to be your local source for information on COVID-19

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, WXXI has been there for you and our community with local news, talk, official information and analysis about the impact of the coronavirus on our daily lives.

Every day, we bring you latest information, including live coverage of Governor Cuomo’s forums.

Since early January, we have produced 556 stories about the coronavirus, including reports from our Albany correspondent, Karen DeWitt, and our colleagues on the CITY Newspaper staff. In addition, we have presented hundreds more stories from NPR, from around the globe.

Our Connections radio and online talk show with Evan Dawson has presented at least 54 hours of coverage since mid-March and Evan has hosted two Virtual Live Town Halls on WXXI-TV and radio about COVID-19 with local elected officials and health experts, so you could hear from them directly.

Photo-journalist Max Schulte has produced 38 videos that helped illustrate our news stories, or were uploaded to our social media pages as stand-alone videos related to the coronavirus.

To our listeners, viewers and supporters, WXXI is proud to be your local source for news about this crisis and to provide information to help all of us get through it together.  Thank you for your faith in WXXI and Public Media, and for helping to make it possible!
