New Year! New Episodes!

Happy New Year and welcome to a year full of exciting productions and events from WXXI! Along with a new year, we have a number of new programs kicking off this January. You have probably already watched the season premiere of Downton Abbey's 5th Season. The series airs Sundays at 9:00 pm but if you miss any episodes, you can catch up here at PBS.org! Meanwhile, Season 6 of WXXI's own Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival premieres January 8th at 10:00 pm on WXXI-TV. This popular series airs on public television stations across the country and is supported in part by the Louis S. and Molly B.Wolk Foundation. The season begins with an incredible performance by Jason Marsalis (Wynton's younger brother) and information on the entire new season can be found here on our Jazz Festival page.

Speaking of Rochester arts, WXXI-TV also premieres Arts InFocus this month, a program that champions the incredible arts and culture community that Rochester cultivates. Hosted by WXXI's Evan Dawson, the series premieres on Friday, January 16 at 6:30 p.m. and features the hit NPR radio show From the Top, which taped live in Rochester last March. Finally, Classical 91.5 has two new radio series dedicated to Latino music as Concierto hits the airwaves Tuesday nights at 10:00 pm and Fiesta Thursdays at 10:00 pm.

These are just a handful of new programs you can look forward to in the new year. Be sure to check online or watch and listen to WXXI for more exciting programming news!
