Join us for the screening of "The Crash Reel"
By Norm Silverstein ~ Posted Mon, 01/13/2014 - 10:10am
This Tuesday the Little Theatre will screen the film The Crash Reel. This Little One Take Doc film, which is supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, is also part of Dialogue on Disability, a partnership we have with our good friends at Al Sigl Community of Agencies. The film tells the story of American snowboarding champion Kevin Pearce, who was enjoying the most successful competitive season of his career until, while training for the 2010 Winter Olympics, he suffered a traumatic brain injury that left him in a coma.
The Crash Reel screens at the Little Theatre on Tuesday, January 14 at 7 p.m., and will be followed by a discussion led by Mary L. Dombovy, MD, MHSA, and Vice President of Neurosciences Unity Health System. Tickets are $10.
Dialogue on Disability, which is supported by the Golisano Foundation, is designed to stimulate community dialogue about the perspectives and abilities of people with physical and intellectual disabilities. To learn more about this initiative, click here.
