Classical KUSC brings you LA Opera On Air, a broadcast series of LA Opera performances recorded live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The weekly series, is hosted by Duff Murphy.

Under the leadership of general director Placido Domingo, the LA Opera has become – under the leadership of general director Placido Domingo – the United States’ fourth largest opera company, presenting six broadcasts this season. The season begins with Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata" with a libreto by Francesco Maria Piave, based on a play by Alexandre Dumas.
