HomeStage

We miss our favorite bands. We miss the big music venues, the dive bar stages, the theatres. We miss the energy of a great guitar riff, the beauty of an unforgettable lyric, the power of a charasmatic drum solo. We miss the music. But it’s still being written, practiced, and performed – in isolation – but it’s still out there! And, WXXI is proud to share it with you. Welcome to HomeStage.

Through our digital series HomeStage and our television series HomeStage at The Little, we invite you to experience the incredible music that’s been created under unprecedented circumstances.

HomeStage at The Little
While so many musicians have been left to perform in isolation amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, WXXI has invited four of Rochester’s favorite bands to each record a live session, audience-free, on stage at The Little Theatre. Presenting diverse musical performances paired with intimate interviews and compelling stories, HomeStage at The Little, shares the magic that happens when musicians finally come together to play once again.
