Need to Know: U.S. Congresswoman Louise Slaughter
Fri, 08/07/2009 - 8:30pm - 9:00pm
On Friday, August 7 at 8:30 p.m. Need to Know invites U.S. Congresswoman Louise Slaughter in studio to talk about healthcare reform.
Then, with Renaissance Square declared "dead" by planners, the City of Rochester is now examining new options for developing downtown. Some components of Ren Square - the transit center and Monroe Community College campus - are still alive and well. Where will those be located, and what else is on the horizon? Mayor Robert Duffy joins host Julie Philipp for a discussion on the future of downtown and the new plans.
Finally, our Arts Friday segement features some amateur filmmakers trying to make a world of change for deaf people.
The program will re-air Sunday, August 9 at 12:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV, and airs on AM1370/HD91.5-2 on Saturday, August 8 at 6:30 p.m.
