The popular British drama series Doc Martin is back for season 9!

Starring Martin Clunes as village practitioner Dr. Martin Ellingham. Martin and his wife, Louisa, are finally living together with their son James Henry; however, their problems are far from over. Doc Martin, Season 9 premieres Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 8 p.m. on WXXI-TV.

Family life proves to be stressful as Martin and Louisa raise their infant son. In addition, Louisa finds it hard to manage all her responsibilities as she begins the search for a new nanny and considers making a career change, causing a rift with Martin. Meanwhile, Portwenn is abuzz as residents prepare for a wedding. As some relationships bloom and others falter, can Martin cope with all the changes – or will he risk the fragile unity he’s forged with his family?
