Hochstein at High Falls: The White Hots
Hochstein at High Falls: The White Hots
Thu, 08/10/2023 - 12:10pm - 1:00pm
The White Hots are a dynamic blues, swing, and jazz group that get feet tapping and people moving. Enjoy the band, and maybe have a classic Rochester white hot yourself!
The Hochstein at High Falls lunchtime summer concert series returns to the city’s High Falls District with the sounds of local music every Thursday, June 8 through August 17. The White Hots perform on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 12:10 p.m. at our new location - 4 Commercial Street, corner of Browns Race.
The concerts are hosted by WRUR Station Manager Ryan Yarmel. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating and lunch. Each performance will run approximately 40 minutes.
Named for one of Rochester’s gastronomic specialties, The White Hots are a blues, swing, and jazz group who perform everything from mellow instrumental music to swing dances with a full band. Musicians and music critics rave about them, dancers swing to them, and people who just like interesting music love their live shows and CDs. The band includes Aleksandar Disljenkovic, guitar; Wayne Naylor, bass; Bill Blind, percussion; and special guest Tom Passamonte on vocals and guitar.
In the event of inclement weather, check Hochstein’s Facebook page at 10:30 am to see if the concert is moving to the rain location nearby.
Hochstein at High Falls concerts are presented by High Falls Business Association, The Hochstein School, and WXXI.
