This half-hour version of the hour long Young @ Heart 40th Annivesary Show spotlights some of the best performances.

Meet the world’s oldest rockers: the Young@Heart Chorus! They celebrate their 40th anniversary in concert with songs by Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Lou Reed and more, and shine a light on members whose commitment to the performing trumps all." Young @ Heart: Strong in Song airs Thursday, May 18 at 9:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV.

This program is part of "Aging Together in New York," an initiaitive driven by WXXI and public media stations across New York State that is addressing social isolation among older adults. Working in collaboration with the New York State Office For the Aging, WXXI and NYS public broadcasters will present a focused week of programming between May 15 and May 21.

“Aging Together in New York” will draw attention to the value of older adults in our communities and provide resources to help seniors build resilience and combat social isolation.
