All The Beauty and The Bloodshed

One Take Film Fest and the New York State Public Media Overdose Epidemic initiative present this film which explores the career of artist and activist Nan Goldin and the fall of the Sackler family.
Join us for a special screening of All The Beauty and The Bloodshed on Thursday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. at The Little Theatre. Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Laura Poitras, All the Beauty and the Bloodshed is an epic, emotional and interconnected story about internationally renowned artist and activist Nan Goldin told through her slideshows, intimate interviews, ground-breaking photography, and rare footage of her personal fight to hold the Sackler family accountable for the overdose crisis. The film will be followed by a panel discussion. PLEASE NOTE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be NO PANEL DISCUSSION after the screening.

New York State Public Media Overdose Epidemic is part of an initiative funded by the New York State Education Department that has called on NYS public media organizations to create a multi-platform project to help address mental health and addiction throughout the state. The project includes broadcast offerings, online content, and special events, like this screening All The Beauty and The Bloodshed. The NYS stations will also work to create comprehensive digital teaching tools, online learning, and essential instructional content.
The Little’s One Take: Stories through the Lens is a monthly documentary film series, presenting a unique mix of documentaries—ranging from film festival favorites to unheralded gems—followed by panel discussions and filmmaker Q&As. Read more about One Take
