Rochester Children's Book Festival 2022

WXXI is pleased to be a part of the 2022 Rochester Children's Book Festival!

The 25^th Rochester Children’s Book Festival will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 10AM to 4PM. The event will be held at the Student Alumni Union of our new hosting sponsor, Rochester Institute of Technology, 1 Lomb Memorial Drive. This family event includes:

• Free admission and parking (Lot D)
• 47 authors and illustrators 
• Three break-out rooms featuring presentations, workshops and story times
• Book-related crafts for children to make and take home
• Face-painting 
• Signed books for purchase through our on-site vendor, Lift Bridge Book Shop

More than 25 Rochester area authors will attend, including Newbery Medal Winner Linda Sue Park and Edgar Award winner Vivian Vande Velde. Many favorite children’s authors from around the country will be there, including Tui Sutherland whose wildly popular Wings of Fire series is sure to draw a crowd. She will speak at 10:30 in RIT’s Ingle Auditorium. Other out-of-town authors include Kekla Magoon, Kate Messner, and Bruce Coville, just to name a few.
