Second Opinion with Joan Lunden: Mental Health Crisis in America
Second Opinion with Joan Lunden: Mental Health Crisis in America
Tue, 05/31/2022 - 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Join Second Opinion with Joan Lunden for this Facebook Live Event where our doctors will discuss the mental health crisis in America.
Across the nation doctors, psychologists, therapists and counselors are on the front lines of an unrelenting mental health crisis. In December of 2021, U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy issued an advisory to highlight the urgent need to address the nation’s youth mental health crisis. The recent tragedies in Buffalo, New York and Uvalde, Texas are once again bringing the conversation of mental illness to the forefront.
On the last day of May, which is National Mental Health Awareness Month, Second Opinion with Joan Lunden hosts a Facebook Live event with Primary Care Physician and popular guest of the series, Dr. Louis J. Papa of UR Medicine and Dr. Jon Stevens, a leader in personalized mental health care and board-certified in both child & adolescent and adult psychiatry.
