In a male-dominated media landscape, the women journalists of India's all-female Khabar Lahariya ("News Wave") newspaper and digital news service risk it all.

WXXI presents Writing with Fire, an Indie Lens Pop-Up presentation, followed by a discussion on Monday, March 21st from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Little Theatre. Get a preview of this 2022 Oscar nominated feature documentary film. The event is free and open to the public. Proof of COVID vaccination and masks are required for all events at the Little Theatre. WXXI News reporter and host, April Franklin, will moderate the discussion with the audience following the 1 hour preview film. 

Airing: The full film will air on WXXI-TV March 28 at 10pm and on WXXI-World March 30 at 7:30pm and April 2 at 12pm.
