WXXI carries live, special coverage of the events that happened earlier today at the congressional joint session to count the electoral votes for President of the United States.

Earlier today, WXXI carried live coverage of The Electoral College Count, which ended abruptly as protestors stormed the U.S. Capitol. Coverage was anchored by Judy Woodruff. She was joined by Lisa Desjardins (at the Capitol), Yamiche Alcindor (at the White House), and Amna Nawaz (from Washington, D.C.).

They will continue to provide live coverage until its conclusion. PBS News Hour Special Coverage continues on Wednesday, January 6 at 5 p.m. on WXXI-TV and WXXI-WORLD.
