The Age of Nature Conservation Cafe Virtual Event

Join WXXI Education for a special "Conservation Cafe" screening and discussion about the new series, The Age of Nature.
THE AGE OF NATURE is a brand new three-part documentary series, exploring how an increased awareness of the natural world is leading to a new chapter in the story of both humanity and the planet. The series focuses on the resiliency of Earth’s ecosystems through stories of success, as scientists, citizens and governments act to fix past mistakes and restore the environment.
What: WXXI is partnering with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to host a special event called a "Conservation Cafe" where we will watch an episode of The Age of Nature and discuss local, state-wide, and global efforts to combat climate change and help nature reboot itself. The screening will be followed by a discussion on the film and local clilmate change and conservation efforts with special guests:
- Betsy Ukeritis, Inter-Regional Educator with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, serving Western Adirondacks, Central New York, & Finger Lakes.
- Tom Snyder, Director of Programming and Conservation Action, with Seneca Park Zoo
When: October 8, 2020 at 7 p.m. ET
