Sensory-Friendly Family Event with Walkaround Julia from "Sesame Street"

WXXI and Al Sigl Community of Agencies are pleased to bring walkaround Julia, Sesame Street’s first muppet on the autism spectrum, to the Golisano Autism Center.

As part of WXXI and Al Sigl Community of Agencies' Dialogue on Disability initiative, designed to stimulate community dialogue about the perspectives and abilities of people with physical and intellectual disabilities, the two organizations are pleased to bring Julia to the Golisano Autism Center for a sunny day of fun for kids of all abilities on Saturday, January 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be hands-on activities and crafts, a meet and greet with walkaround Julia, and a special screening of Julia segments.

  • Who: Families with young children
  • Where: Golisano Autism Center, 50 Science Parkway, Rochester, NY 14620
  • When: Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
  • Meet and Greet times: 10-10:30am (30-minute break), 11-11:30am (30-minute break), 12-12:30pm (30-minute break) and 1-1:30pm
