Men Caring

Men Caring

Sat, 01/25/2020 - 4:30pm - 5:00pm

Men Caring tells the story of three men who are the primary caregivers for adults with disabilities.

In a field traditionally held by women, these compassionate men tell personal stories of how they were inspired to become caregivers for this special population. Through interviews, veritĂ© scenes, home movies, and family photos, viewers meet the caregivers and receivers and see the rewards of their unique relationships. Men Caring air Saturday, January 25 at 4:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV.

This program is part of Dialogue on Disability, a partnership between WXXI and Al Sigl Community of Agencies - in conjunction with the Herman and Margaret Schwartz Community Series, designed to stimulate community dialogue about the perspectives and abilities of people with physical and intellectual disabilities. The initiative is supported by the Fred L. Emerson Foundation with additional support from The Golisano Foundation.

Dialogue on Disability runs January 20-26, featuring a week of special programming focused on people of all abilities. To learn more, visit WXXI.org/dod.
